Kalei brought elegance and energy to the desert! She wore a dreamy multi-tiered purple dress that created effortless movement in every frame. Paired with crisp white cowgirl boots, minimal gold accessories, and the golden Arizona light? Her outfit was the perfect balance of modern cowgirl meets classic glam.

Ruby’s senior session was pure magic. A 2024 high school graduate and aspiring Marine Biologist, Ruby wanted her senior portraits to reflect her love for the ocean and her calm, confident spirit. We chose a secluded, rocky beach in Southern California - the perfect backdrop for her coastal-inspired senior photoshoot.

As a SoCal senior photographer, I always encourage my seniors to pick a location that feels personal to them. For Ruby, the beach was more than just scenic—it was symbolic. It represented where she’s been, who she is, and where she’s going.

Casual Beach Outfit Vibes

Ruby started her Southern California senior session in a soft, casual look: a denim romper layered over a crisp white shirt. The light tones of her outfit popped beautifully against the sunlit sand and cool ocean tones, highlighting her natural beauty and soft, feminine style. This look felt effortless and relaxed - perfect for senior photos on the beach.

Tropical & Bold Second Look

For her second outfit, Ruby switched into a bold and beachy ensemble: rust-colored flowy pants paired with a black top. The tropical tones of this look added drama and contrast to the soft blues and beiges of the coastal landscape. The movement in her pants added a whimsical, editorial feel that brought a totally different vibe to the session.

What I loved most about Ruby’s senior outfits was how true they were to her personality. As a senior photographer in SoCal, I always encourage my seniors to choose outfits that reflect who they are and what makes them feel confident. Ruby absolutely shined in both looks because they were authentic to her.

Her natural ease in front of the camera made this session so special. She nailed every pose and gave so much heart to the process. It was an honor to photograph this milestone moment for her!

From the moment Adam and his mom reached out, we started dreaming up a session that would highlight every side of his personality. She told me she had shown Adam several photographers - and he chose me. That’s the highest honor, and I don’t take it lightly.

We chose Papago Park for its warm desert light, sandstone textures, and wide open space — perfect for more laid-back, natural portraits. After that, we transitioned to the Tempe Center for the Arts, where Adam’s cool confidence really came through in sleek, structured compositions.

Capturing His Legacy: Victor E. Trojan

One of the most unique parts of Adam’s session? He showed up with his school mascot uniform - because he’s not just a student, he’s the iconic Victor E. Trojan at his high school, Valley Christian Schools!

We had a blast capturing images of Adam with mascot gear, adding fun, school spirit, and a personal twist that truly sets his session apart. Whether it's a jersey, an instrument, a car, or a mascot moment, I always encourage seniors to bring something that reflects their high school experience.

Chandler Oasis Park Senior Friendship Session | Gilbert AZ Photographer

Chandler Arizona Senior Friendship Session

These five gorgeous women have known each other most of their lives and have been friends since they were little. Now they have finally made it to their senior year and what a better way to celebrate their lifelong friendship than an epic destination friendship session in the stunning desert scenery of Arizona!

All of these girls are originally from Marietta, Georgia which is where they met and four of them currently live. One of them, Ella and her family recently moved to Arizona. So before the start of their epic senior year Kaitlyn, May, Mary and Nicole jetted off to visit Ella and see cactus for the first time. The perfect way to start their senior year off right - together!

Now, its not easy being best friends and being a part, but these girls care for each other so very much and it was so apparent as they interacted with one another throughout our session time. I asked them about their friendship, what extra-curricular activities they are into and what they are looking forward to and the whole time it was so encouraging to see how highly they spoke of one another. They play golf, tennis, volleyball, sing, and cheer, yet even with different interests, they have they find ways to relate and encourage one another. That is one of the best signs of a great friendship.

The girls each wore clothes that fit their style but together they choose colors that matched a dreamy Arizona sunset for their photoshoot! An absolute perfect color palette to express the joy in their friendship and in this stunning desert location!

This next image is an iconic image for this group. This is an exact representation of a photo they all took together as kids! I loved helping them remake this infamous photo amongst their friendship.

We loved adding this bubble moment into our photoshoot. It was the perfect environmentally friendly way to send some cheer without leaving any residue in this gorgeous desert scene!

We also snuck mom of Ella, Beth in for a couple photos! She was beaming in delight as the girls were having so much fun together! Plus doesn’t she look super cute!

Pro Tip: For any parents of seniors be sure to wear colors that match what your senior is wearing so if you jump in for a photo with your senior (or in this case them and their friends) you look cohesive! Great job Beth!! 👏

Now while these girls may live hundreds of miles apart this lifelong friendship will be a lifelong blessing. So many people search their whole lives for solid friendships - ones that will uplift, be silly, supportive, go through the good and the bad. I see each of these girls sticking to each other like glue. Traveling to new fun places to meet up. Being only a phone call away and always being able to pick up right where they left off.
